Announcements:

• The Safety and Security Team will meet immediately following the service this morning for fire extinguisher training.  All interested parties are welcome to attend.

• Vacation Bible School will be held this week, June 8th-11th from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm.  The registration forms for kids to sign up are available on Facebook and will be available tomorrow as we begin.  There will be a wrap-up program for students and parents next Sunday during and after the service.  There will be a BBQ in the Fellowship Hall following the program.

• Cowboy’s Rest is offering several summer camps this year for kids and teens born 2008–2017.  Teen Camp 2 runs July 6–11, Teen Camp 3 runs July 20–25, and Kids Camp 2 is for kids born 2014–2017.  Our church plans to sponsor three kids this year—please see Pastor Tim if you know a child who would benefit from attending.

• The Church Council is currently gathering information regarding our existing church sign which is in need of replacement. No decisions have been made at this time. We ask that you join us in prayer as we seek wisdom and discernment in this matter.

• There will be no Council meeting in June.  The next scheduled meeting is July 19th.  All are welcome to attend and participate in this meeting particularly during this important time of transition for our Church.

• The next Men's Prayer Breakfast will be on June 27th at 7:00 am at the Model T.

• The Lord's Supper will be served on June 28th during the service.

• The Deacons will meet at 6:30 pm on June 29th in Pastor's office.

• The Business meeting to ratify the Revised Constitution and Bylaws is scheduled for August 2nd.  The draft of it is on the table in the foyer.  Please pick it up and review it and forward any questions or suggestions to Pastor Merki or a member of the Constitution and Bylaws Review Committee.  They are Sean Burke, Phil Wright, Janet Austin and Mark Clendenon.

• This year marks Sonoma Baptist Church (SBC)’s 20th anniversary.  We are planning to have a celebration in October and are collecting photos and memorabilia for display.  Please label all items with your name and phone number and give them to Saundra Lange or Lyn Troike.  If you know anyone who was here when SBC was formed, please let Saundra or Lyn know.  They will contact them and invite them to attend the celebration.  The Council is also looking for volunteers to join the planning team for this celebration.
